English Vocab n Yojna

 *Bathroom vocabulary*

1. Tumbler (मग) - A container with straight sides and no handle or stem.

2. Faucet (नल) - A device for regulating the flow of a liquid from a reservoir such as a pipe or drum.

3. Sink (हाथ-मुँह धोने की जगह/चीज़ें धोने की जगह) - A fixed basin with a water supply and a drain.

4. Drain (नाली) - A channel or pipe carrying off surplus liquid, especially rainwater or liquid waste.

5. Plunger (एक पाइप जिससे रुकी हुई नाली साफ़ करी जा सकती है) - A device consisting of a rubber cup on a long handle, used to clear blocked pipes by means of water pressure.

6. Shower Valve - Shower का ढकना जो केवल एक ओर से खुले

7. Toilet paper (शौच का कागज़) - Paper in sheets or on a roll for wiping oneself clean after urination or defecation

8. Toilet paper holder - (टॉयलेट पेपर रखने वाला) - A toilet roll holder, also known as a toilet paper dispenser, is an item that holds a roll of toilet paper.

9. Spout (पानी का नल) - A tube or lip projecting from a container, through which liquid can be poured.

10. Towel rack (तौलिया रखने की पट्टी) - A rack consisting of one or more bars on which towels or washcloths are hung.

11. Shower cubicle (एक हिस्सा जिसमें आप shower ले सकते हैं) - A small space with walls or curtains around it, that is separate from the rest of a room and where you can be private when taking clothes off, etc.

12. Soap dispenser (जिसमें liquid साबुन रखा जाता है) - A device that dispenses soap (usually in small, single-use quantities). It can be manually operated by means of a handle, or can be automatic.

13. Vanity unit (जहाँ washbasin और उनके नीचे अल्मारी होती है) - A unit consisting of a washbasin set into a flat top with cupboards beneath.

14. Cistern (टंकी) - A tank for storing water, especially one supplying taps or as part of a flushing toilet.

15. Mirror (आईना) - A reflective surface, now typically of glass coated with a metal amalgam, that reflects a clear image.



Union Government launches Accessible E-Library Sugamya Pustakalaya 🌍

📚 What is Sugamya Pustakalaya?

🔹Sugamya Pustakalaya is an online library for Divyang and houses publications across diverse subjects and languages and multiple accessible formats.

📒 The online library has been created in collaboration with National Institute of Visually Handicapped (NIVH), member organisations of Daisy Forum of India and Bookshare and is powered by TCS Access.

📔 In this online library books will available in accessible formats for people with visual impairment and other print disabilities.

📘It will house over 2 lakhs books in diverse languages. It will also integrate libraries across India and the Globe, including the largest international library Bookshare.
